Anyhow, Kelly's passed on my contact info and once her life as new mommy has settled down a little bit, I expect to hear from her. Mainly because I never want my father to track me down. Which actually makes me happy, since I try to be difficult to find if you're looking for me by my real unmarried name. I guess she tried to find me at one point when I was in Seattle but couldn't. But I did, and it turns out sublimekel is actually good friends with Amy Beckham (who is now married and just had a baby). On sunday night when I randomly started talking about the shirt I had on, and my friend Amy Beckham whose shirt it was? I don't even know what possessed me to write about the shirt, much less go into detail a post a picture of the two of us. So some of you may not have seen this little amazing moment happen in my comments. I understand that they have to keep answering the same question, so they end up with these pat answers, but if it were me, at least for back to back shows on the same network, I'd try to switch it up a little and not just repeat the exact same sentences verbatim. I hate that, it just makes the stars seem so phony. I saw Dennis Haysbert on the Early Show this morning while at the gym, and then on Regis and Kelly when I got home, and he said exactly the same thing on both shows. So maybe it wasn't a woman singing, I'm just hearing her. Anyone have any ideas about who did that one? My mom, whose name was Dove, adored that song and sang it all the time. I can find mariachi versions, polka versions, instrumental Spanish guitar versions, but not the 70s pop version I recall. I'd swear it was a woman singing, at least on the chorus. I can't find the version of the song Una Paloma Blanca that I remember from my youth. That's like noteworthy and something to brag about. You know things are in a sad state of affairs when Arby's advertises that their chicken is made with 100% real.chicken. I'll have to go find those books now, since the internet's not helping.īoy, I sure don't have the memory I used to. Apparently is has something to do with Buddhism, though if I'm remembering right, I got it out of a Madeline L'Engle book and it embodied some universal concept I liked in terms of my own faith. If I can't remember, it's not like anyone else will. This is going to drive me positively nuts. Obviously not that important, or I'd remember. I have absolutely NO recollection of what it stands for. I just discovered this tonight in an old archive of The Church mailing list.
